Today was Randy's birthday!! 43 years baby! We celebrated by going out to eat at one of our favorite restaurants - Gyotaku.
Dinner was fun. It was just fun being together, celebrating our favorite dad, and eating yummy food. Good times.
We stopped at Zippy's on the way home for a haupia cake. By the time we reached home, we were ready for cake. Randy is a great dad and wonderful husband. There are too many things to name that make him awesome. We're just glad he's ours!
Tonight our ward held a Court of Honor for the Deacon's in our ward. They reported on their summer adventures, especially the ones they had at Pupukea Scout camp. The boys were demonstrating a game they played at camp. After watching them do the game, I was confused.
Tyler was awarded several merit badges, as well as rank of 1st Class. Good job Tyler!!
Even I was given a badge. I'm on the Scout Committee.

Tyler was asked to get up and share a fun experience he had a Pupukea Scout Camp. He talked about his Deacon't quorum president letting his pants fall in front of others. LOL! Don't worry, he had shorts underneath.
When we called it a night, the colors were retired.
This Labor Day picnic came around fast. It was just a year ago that I was hauling around a big fat belly, pregnant as can be. This year, no pregnancy. Just an active 10 month old. I'd take that over being pregnant. But I digress. We got together with all our old college buddies for our 2nd annual picnic. It was just as fun as last year's.
This year, there were some new faces.
There was a lot of beach time.
It was a beautiful day.
Even Jace and I jumped in the water. It was so nice, not too cold.

Now just the parents, so we can reminisce and try to feel young again.
Not sure what we were all thinking because this move did NOT make us feel young. At least I didn't. In fact, it made me feel old. It reminded me that I had on an extra 50 lbs since our college days. Oh well.
So this was the first time I got to watch my son in action. I'm not quite sure how I feel about it.
When I hear the colliding of football pads, my eyebrows raise and I cringe inwardly, hoping that my son didn't get hurt. I look at the field and my son is still going.
It was a beautiful day that day. Kara and Jace were enjoying the sun.
There he goes. I'm proud of him. Football is a rough game, especially in real life, but he just keeps going back for more.
