Big Brothers are Fun!

Jace loves it when his brothers and sisters are home. He has more fun with them I think. He especially loves it when they take him outside to play. Jace had a ball with Micah as they played with the water outside.

Blue and Gold Banquet

It's that time of year again. When we celebrate Cub Scouting! This time it was Micah's turn to participate in all the celebration.

Can I just say that the Cub Scout Committee did such an aweseome job with the decorations! It was great.

Micah made this one at one of his pack meetings. Love it!!

Micah was called up to be presented with a patch for participating in the "Schofield Days" activity.

I haven't been able to accompany my boys yet to this activity. All I know is that they leave clean and come home in mud. Once a year, all the Cub Scouts on the island get to go on the Schofield Barracks Base and participate in some fun activities with the soldiers there like repelling, dressing up in army stuff, doing all sorts of cool things. The boys come back exhausted from having such an awesome time.

E.F.Y. - their first time

There they go, to their second day of E.F.Y. This is their first time going. Last night they had a concert put on by the piano guys. They loved it. Randy and I wished we had gone. I'm glad they are enjoying this.

Betcha Don't See That At The Post Office

Kara and I were running errands. One our stops was at the local post office. We parked the car, turned our heads and saw horses. Not something we see everyday, but not surprising that we saw it nonetheless. How many of you can say that you see horses when you go to check your mail?

The Scarlet McCaw

This was Kara's diorama that she put together for an animal project at school. I thought she did such a great job with it. She did everything all by herself. Her teacher was impressed with her tree. Me too! Great job Kara!!

SweetHeart Luncheon

There has been nothing but love over here on the North Shore. Today was the kids annual SweetHeart Luncheon.

 It's so fun for the kids. The seem to love the time we spend with them, having lunch and talking.

 

It's tradition, along with this tradition, for them to decide what will be on the menu. This year it was a unanimous decision to go with spam musubi. 

  

Good thing I made 10 of them. They were gone fast. Along with that were nectarines, chocolate chip cookies and chocolate milk. Mmmmmm.

Valentine's Luncheon

Today was the annual Valentine's Luncheon for Tyler's Avid class at school. I went the previous year with Leigh. Because of all the craziness of January, I kept forgetting to send in the permission slip. In the end what we had to do was order our own food, but that's ok. Tyler didn't mind at all. The luncheon is always held at Tita's Grill. A local mom & pop eatery literally across the street from the high school. 

Here's my date. I did catch him taking a bite out of his food. Sorry Tyler. He seemed to enjoy himself, which I'm glad. I enjoyed myself, all the while trying to eat and keep a baby from climbing on tables. Tyler is such a good brother with Jace. Always carrying him, especially when he can see that I'm having a tricky time with him.

The rest of the luncheon was fun. There were games, drawings, a prize won by Tyler and a Valentine's card from him with a sweet message to me. Thank you Tyler for a sweet time!
