Seeing as our time here is drawing to a near close, I helped Leigh throw one last hurrah with her friends before our departure. With just two days notice, we invited the girls in her class from church over for some girly-fun. Of course we couldn't leave Kara without a friend. She invited Riley. At 6pm, one by one the girls arrived to cheers and screaming by their peers. By this point, I'm wondering what I got myself into. Thankfully, my great friend (and Twilight cohort) Jenny Taylor offered to help with tonight's festivities. Thank goodness, because I don't throw many parties (my children will tell you) and I wasn't quite sure what I was doing. We had pizza, strawberries, and that Mormon sherbet punch (you know you all love that stuff). I manned the cake decorating station, while Jenny took on the tie-dying (again, thank you Jenny), and in between all that, the girls occupied themselves with doing nails, jumping on the "jumpoline", and serenading us with some High School Musical 2 karaoke-ing. Lori Webb escaped her home full of boys (her boy was having a birthday party), for a break to hang out with the girls a little. She used to be all the girls' Activity Day Leader. The girls all love her. Of course the night wouldn't have been complete without an official TP - ing of the house. No we didn't, the party at Lori's house did. When we came out to survey the damage, 10 screaming boys came running out from the side of my house, darting down the street (mind you, it's 9pm by this point), which in turn caused the girls at my house to start screaming (there were 9 of them). I was just waiting for the cops to arrive because we were majorly disturbing the peace. Lori had the boys clean up the mess. The girls wanted to retaliate, but that's when I became the party-pooper. I denied them that satisfaction, telling them it was not on the agenda. With much disappointment, they went back into the house and decided it would be fun to TP Kara. Alrighty then. 10pm came and the girls left. Needless to say my girls were happy and I was exhausted! I'm glad though that the girls were able to have one last night with their friends.

The lovely hostesses Me and Jenny.

What a fun girly party! I know Riley had a blast. Thanks again for inviting her over - it meant the world to her.
That sounded so fun! Can't wait til my girls get older and I can do that with them.
PS - I'm sure I'll regret these words when the time actually comes! :)
